Before you decide, know the facts. Explore the plan
I am currently in high school and want to become a civil engineer or city engineer after college. I love the idea of walkablility, and experience first hand what the suburbs can do to residents' mental health and physical well being. Personally, I do not believe that the current American model of suburban development should continue, and I wish that laws and regulations could be changed to favor more walkable lifestyles. I do not want to live in the suburbs when I am an adult, if I can afford it. I have been reading Jeff Speck's "Walkable City," and have constantly been considering how one could apply principles of walkablility to a car-dependent United States. California Forever seems like the perfect opportunity for me to experience a walkable lifestyle and invest in what I am truly passionate about. Send me notifications; I want this place built ASAP.
