Jobs
Local jobs. Real wages. Right here.
In 2025, 68% of residents commuted out of the county just to get to work, and Solano County has the lowest jobs-to-population ratio in the Bay Area at just 39%. The Suisun Expansion Plan is a direct response to that. Construction will be carried out under a union labor agreement, guaranteeing good-paying jobs and local work.
My hope for our workers in Solano County is that they have jobs to go to that aren’t two hours away.
