I believe in solving California's current problems with lack of housing, housing availability, small business support, and crime due to lack of economic opportunities/joblessness through creating a small city/town mixed use live/work/retail area.

Let's support this and ensure California continues to be the pioneer in building the future of the world.

100 percent correct. We have been building master planned communities for a long time in alot of places, this is no different. People need to realize that your project is utilizing the land for its highest and best use, to ensure maximum economic benefit for our community.

This is my view too (read the thread). Would, of course prefer infill housing, but I recognize the political realities in California that make that hard.

The size of this project makes quality transit options viable and the design means great urbanism is possible immediately.

This new city, to me, is the perfect way to get on with building abundance in California.

I recently had to leave California because of the high cost of housing, but it's still home to me. My family and friends are there. I grew up in inland Orange County, went to college at Chico State, started my career in San Francisco, and spent countless vacations exploring California’s beautiful natural landscapes.

I now live in Austin, Texas, but I dream of being able to move back one day. California Forever checks all my boxes: affordable, well-designed housing, thoughtful community planning, walkability, and access to outdoor spaces. It sounds like the kind of place I’d be excited to help shape and grow. I’d be first in line to build community and set down roots.

I fully support this project and hope it moves forward.

A safe, walkable community

I simply love my home state of California and support any project that seeks to inject affordable housing and smart zoning into it.

I support the project because everyone wins when there's a shorter commute for area workers and less traffic for the Bay generally.

I am from the Sacramento area and looking to move back home and settle down in the near future. This is the type of building that will get me to come home sooner and with plenty of excitement to do it!

Based on headlines, I was skeptical of the “California Forever” project in Solano county, so this episode was eye-opening. Building “the Irvine of NorCal” makes lots of sense, and sounds way different than building “a billionaire-funded tech utopia.”

Looking into housing options as I work at Travis AFB, and I am priced out of the area and live way too far away.

I grew up in the Bay Area and then joined the Military. I see what Jan and California Forever are doing for California and this country, and I am in full support.

I am very interested in watching and being involved in a project like this. This is a great show of what we can do together, to provide for the citizens of America.

This is a visionary and strategic plan and as a technology strategist, I only wonder why we haven’t pushed this thinking sooner. We need to regain the leadership we’ve had on tech innovation across the world and California is the best place to do it.
