Love to see @cayimby support California Forever.

California has a spirit of innovation. It’s a place that shapes culture. It’s an economic powerhouse. And it’s blessed with great weather and natural beauty. Yet it’s also struggling in many ways.

For one, there’s a huge housing shortage.

California needs all kinds of new housing – including thoughtful new cities like California Forever. I believe it will serve as a model for better urbanism and development. Their team is thoughtful, open minded, and taking a long term approach.

I love the plan’s focus on walkability, a healthy housing density, and creating local jobs.

It’s an important mission to get behind. It’s important to get behind smart driven people trying something new, behind people building great new places for people to live. Perfection is not possible, that doesn’t mean the pursuit isn’t worthwhile.

I’m excited to see this project come to life, and hopefully play a small part in it.
