Second Nature Ecology + Design brings the science of urban ecology into planning and design. We work with developers, designers, and communities to create a positive ecological vision for a project that guides all dimensions of design, construction, and operations, bringing the benefits of high-quality nature to urban residents. Second Nature staff are leaders in both the science and practice of urban nature, having originated key publications in the field and excelling at working collaboratively with project teams to find the synergies between nature and housing, workplaces, mobility, and other elements of the built environment.
