Founded in Seattle in 1960, KPFF Consulting Engineers is one of the oldest and largest civil and structural engineering firms in the Pacific Northwest, with a specialty practice in marine transportation planning, operations, and engineering. KPFF’s Marine Transportation Consulting Group brings together experts and resources in transportation planning, naval architecture, and ferry system operations to advise on all aspects of waterborne transportation, and works hand-in-hand with the strong civil and structural groups at KPFF to offer a full range of services. KPFF has worked for and been integral in starting up a variety of ferry systems and major waterborne transit operators on both coasts of the United States.
